Alfa Laval wins SEK 65 million energy-efficiency order
Alfa Laval – a world leader in heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling – has won an order to supply Alfa Laval Packinox heat exchangers to a petrochemical plant in India. The order, booked in the Welded Heat Exchangers unit of the Energy Division, has a value of approximately SEK 65 million, with delivery scheduled for 2018.
The order comprises compact heat exchangers for energy recovery in the production of mixed xylene, an important ingredient for the manufacturing of industrial chemicals and plastics products.
“Our Packinox heat exchangers are reliable and highly energy efficient. This order confirms their capacity to recover and save energy in the energy-intense refinery and petrochemical industries,” says Susanne Pahlén Åklundh, President of the Energy Division.”
Did you know that… one single Alfa Laval Packinox heat exchanger is more efficient and compact than traditional techniques and can thereby replace up to four shell-and-tube heat exchangers in this application?
